Uninstall
Updated 13 October 2026
Removing Shutterfold does not touch your photos or files. The scan never wrote to them.
Remove the app
- Quit Shutterfold.
- In Finder, open Applications and drag Shutterfold to the Trash.
Remove its reports and settings
Shutterfold keeps its reports in its own folder. macOS keeps a few small files for the app beside it. To remove them all:
- In Finder, choose Go, then Go to Folder.
- Paste one of the paths below and press Return.
- Drag the folder or file to the Trash. Do this for each path.
| Path | What it holds |
|---|---|
~/Library/Application Support/com.shutterfold.mac |
Your scan reports, one folder for each scan. |
~/Library/Caches/com.shutterfold.mac |
Temporary files for the app window. |
~/Library/WebKit/com.shutterfold.mac |
Data for the app window. |
~/Library/Preferences/com.shutterfold.mac.plist |
Settings that macOS keeps for the app. |
Some of these may not be there. That is fine. When you are done, empty the Trash.
Turn off Full Disk Access
Open System Settings, then Privacy & Security, then Full Disk Access. Select Shutterfold and click the − button.
If you pay for the paid plan
